I bought a four-pack and came home to discover that two of the four were only a third full. Not impressed! I'll stick with larger brands like Monteiths Black when I'm feeling like a dark beer...

I'm not sure what it is about Porters and their habit of wanting to get out of the bottle quickly but this Porter was one of them. Fortunately, I had the glass at the ready so I didn't lose any. Pouring took a while with lots of head forming as I poured. The pouring over finally I had my first long sip. It was a delightfully smooth but very smokey dark beer. I could definitely taste the toasted malt but there was no astringency. I drank the Porter with dinner of roast chook and vegetables which was a good match. The chocolaty toasted flavor lingered through the meal as did the glass of Porter. The Little's have produced another delightful beer which, if you like dark, full flavoured beers, should be on your list and in your fridge. Very nice.
