Pinot Noir
Krug Grande Cuvée 172ème Édition is a blend of 146 wines from 11 different years, the youngest of which is from 2016, while the oldest dates back to 1998. Its final composition is 44% Pinot Noir, 36% Chardonnay and 20% Meunier. Blending so many different wines from different years lends a generosity of flavours and aromas that would be impossible to express with the wines of a single year. It is the full orchestra that plays in compete harmony the symphony of Champagne. A stay of around seven years in Krug’s cellars gives this Édition its remarkable expression and elegance. In all, over 20 years of careful craftsmanship were necessary to enjoy this Édition of Krug Grande Cuvée, which represents the 172nd recreation of the most generous expression of Champagne. 97 Points -James Suckling
