Reviews of this champagne will all be pretty glowing and there is a reason. It really is one of the greats. Some will say better than Cristal or Dom Perignon. Really at this level it is like comparing who is the greatest artist. The art you get from Krug is quality of execution of a big champagne. It’s easy to be bold and have raisin, hazel nuts, cocoa knibs, fine hint of citrus and of course brioche. It is different how it is done at this level in a bottle of Krug the flavours appear to be hand selected. Someone has picked the very best fruit and nuts and the bread baked with only the finest yeast. So the experience you have is one of having all your flavours hand selected by a professional in that flavour and combined with the most powerful and subtle bubble you can. Krug is an experience not just a flashy champagne. The worst part is the sadness you have when you pour the last drop (usually into someone else’s glass). If you love champagne do this once Krug will not let you down.

Basically tasted like sharp mineral water with a minimal amount of grape flavouring thrown in. A $120 Billecart Salmon is far superior.
