Well rounded flavourful bourbon at a decent price (for Australian standards) at a great ABV. An all-time favourite that will always be on my shelf. Quintessential bourbon!

The absolute best bourbon you can buy, smooth as custard. Drink it on the rocks alone or with a dash of coke but not too much. Not too sweet as some bourbons disappoint with, mellow caramel hints with an aroma of supercharged satisfaction. Enjoy 🥃

bourbon was my go-to in my younger years (JD and JB) when i wanted to drink, but they didnt give me any enjoyment so i branched out to scotch. then recently, i bought a bottle of this due to its' high abv - i was intrigued. boy did it not disappoint. on the nose i got caramel and vanilla as well as the taste. the sweetness was not overwhelming. its has a really nice balance to it. im down to 1/4 bottle but will definitely buy another once finished.

I suppose I can understand why some people prefer 101 as it has a more typical bourbon flavour. The Rare Breed however has a touch of the aromatic about it, even a perfume like taste. Still it really delivers a treat to the palate once you get used to it.

This is a huge! Drinking it neat was slightly overwhelming for my palette. I watered it down incrementally until I got to the sweet spot. It's no joke. I've had cask strength before but this is a beast. This is juiced to the gills at nearly 60% ABV. I get a tonne of vanilla and caramel and a very long finish.
