I'd probably rate this a 3.5, round it up to 4 stars as it's great value for money.
Very smooth, balanced tannins, nice mouth feel, but lacks the fruit, complexity and length of a more expensive shiraz.
At Member's price of $10 a bottle I highly recommend - it's an easy one to drink, good endurance (doesn't fatigue). It's an elegant everyday home drink, but I wouldn't bring it to a dinner party.
