Beck's beer brewed in Bremen/Germany is the only Beck's that has been using the same receipe for more than 140 years. Albeit a very good drop this lot is made in the UK and does have a slightly different taste. I was born in Bremen and drank many of Beck's before coming to Australia, and I would not buy any Beck's products except the ones brewed in Bremen. The German Purity Law prohibits any other ingredients than Barley, Hops and Water. It is the Water that makes UK brewed Beck's taste different!

Better than the local made becks this is fully imported and taste's very clean and crisp. with nice malt flavor .

I've been buying a lot of different beers lately until i find something that catches my attention, and Beck's definitely has. There isn't a strong flavour behind it but the flavour that is there is quality and doesn't leave behind a noticeable after taste like most beers. It really is a refreshing drop, especially when served ice cold. You get real value for money in the 500ml cans as well, $18 for a six pack is a solid way to start the night out.

A true beer drinkers beer. You can drink this beer till the cows come home and still feel OK the next day. If you find it hard to stop at just one then this is the beer for you, The flavor may seem mild at first but at least you wont get that sickly after taste after you've had a few which seems to happen with a lot of the other over flavored beers on the market today. Around 20 years ago when Deathevocation was a bit younger, he used to rush to Dan Murphy's Alphington with his xmas bonus and buy, inter alia, a case of Beck's (I guess the apostrophe infers the next word is beer). Back then, there wasn't much import beer available and Beck's was a refreshing change of pace from the $18 cases of Melbourne Bitter. Anyhow, I moved on from Beck's a long time ago (and had the misfortune of tasting the local brewed version once) until last week a friend turned up with a sixer of the real thing. I'll keep it short - this is easy drinking German pilsner. Not much taste, but the taste which is there isn't offensive and is miles ahead of the other Euro mainstays (i.e. Heineken, Stella etc). I think the 500ml can is priced well for Australian standards (I guess it'll put pressue on Lion Nathan's production of the "imposter" version) though if I want a good priced German pilsner (with more taste), I'll reach for Bittburger, Konig or Radeberger.

The real thing in a light and easily chillable 500ml can! Bring it on and keep it in stock!!
