This not a bad whisky but I was expecting more. For me it lacks body, is thin on the palate and the finish is short. It reads as a young whisky with potential. It has a dominate white fruit plum? taste that may well have developed and matured to a more complex and interesting dram with more time in the cask. It's a skip it for me at this time. There are much better scotch offerings out there to be had in this price range, in my opinion of course.

Not much to the nose. Nice floral tones, but not very rich taste. A sharp burn on the tongue, but pretty much an average single malt whiskey. Given how nice the Nikka blended whiskeys are, I expected more.
