I have previously only drank Coopers or Abbotsford but found this on my travels at a country pub in SA. Now I’ve found it at Dans I shall not be drinking anything else !

Flavorful and intense. Just up there in the top 10.

Remember drinking a longneck Southwark bitter in summer and Southwark stout with my dad in winter, God bless him, the best beer in Australia comes from SA. As far as stouts go, this one is creamy, slightly bitter, caramel and packs a potent alcohol punch. Really nice on a cold winters night, go down very ease, a little too easy

Best mass produced stout in Australia. I have tried them all. Even better than Coopers.

Been a strict Coopers Stout drinker for years....used to brew my own as well. Southwark Old Stout is very smooth, easy drinking, with a creamy finish and a pleasant extra kick. I wish I had discovered it years ago. Highly recommended to all consumers of black beer.....best in Australia
