This is a very special Gin, the flavor is so perfectly balanced, light and crisp without being overly sweet or overpowering. Fantastic straight on ice or with soda on a summer afternoon, absolutely LOVE it !!

I used to drink Single Malt Whisky on a regular basis, nightly before bed. Had a health problem arise and my Doctor advised me to Stop drinking Whisky. About a month ago, I saw the Edinburgh, Rhubarb and Ginger Liqueur in a Dan Murphy's, email alert. Thought I have to try a bottle, as a kid I loved rhubarb, for desert. I could just taste the rhubarb and I felt the ginger was missing. Added a splash of cold Tonic Water and that brought out the flavours. I also found the taste, very soft, not harsh like whisky, can be at times. My partner, she absolutely enjoyed it and will buy another bottle in the near future.

To be honest I was disappointed with this Gin so much potential. But it was too tart for my pallet. Especially if mixed with tonic water. Lemonade seemed to work better. A sweet rhubarb mix with the ginger might have been a better balance. Would want to sample if it changed before I went for this again.

It is tangy, probably from the ginger and the rhubarb, but it is surprisingly refreshing. It doesn’t overpower. I sometimes drink a small amount neat or add a little tonic and ice for a longer drink. It’s versatile and its taste is unique!

Makes the taste of a cocktail go from amateur tinkering to masterclass mixologist. Not pleasant on its own but good as a mixer.
