Read some good reviews and even found one that referenced Staward’s Nova. Picked up a bottle, got it home and tried a dram. That’s where the excitement ends. It is thin, underwhelming and bland. I am really struggling to believe this took 15 years to get into a bottle. There are better drops out there with more presence and body.

Made with spring water so pure its stream was unlawfully diverted on a number of occasions, Dufftown’s signature smooth whiskies are achieved by a secret combination ofboth American and European oak casks. Our 15 YO was matured in both American and European oak casks, producing an easy to enjoy whisky with a honey aromas, fresh fruit notes and a dry finish. This whisky is reassuringly well-balanced for a 15 year old, this is an elegant malt with sweet fruitiness and perfect finish.
