I have had much better.Some wines effect my sinuses.This Cab/Shiraz did so,and it’s the Shiraz component.Back to Cab Sav or Cab merlot for me.

The straight Shiraz of this brand is great and this wine tastes nice too, but there’s something in the Shiraz Cabernet that will guarantee you that seedy hangover feeling after just one glass, it might be the sulphites. I event used wine drops and still get rough the next day in a way I never have with the Shiraz…make sure you pick up the right bottle because the labels look the same. I’ll be tipping the rest of this delicious tax to bf win down the sink!

This is a classic red wine which is very smooth and has a very pleasant flavor. In the last several days I have shared Colonel and The Merchant shiraz cabernet with several dinner companions who have had a lot of experience dining and wining and they have all said that it was an excellent wine to drink with dinner. It is not excessively expensive, which underscores that the quality of wine depends on the character of the drink, and not on its price. As the English author Evelyn Waugh wrote, wine is not a commodity, it is a staple of civilization.
