Outstanding whiskey at an unbelievable price. Perfectly mature, rich, and rounded. On par with similar expressions ten times the price.

I am not one to write reviews very often but like the other reviewer, I saw the review and felt compelled to also contribute when buying this online for my brother. I would not describe the colour as dull, the deep colour reflects the port cask finish that adds fruity overtones to the myriad of characters infused into this whiskey. It is very complex, the various layers are thoroughly enjoyable. It is a masterful production from Glenmorangie and will be enjoyed by all that enjoy a highland whiskey.

Saw the one other review for this whisky and had to write my own as I had a completely different experience. Colour was rich and the whisky was flavourful, I found that a few drops of water added really enhanced the taste further and took away the harshness I got when drinking it neat. For a 14 year old single malt the price is quite good. This whisky is now among my favourites for a regular dram, anyone who likes a Highland whisky should enjoy this. I hope that the previous reviewer was simply unlucky and got a bad bottle as I am about to buy more of this and would be disappointed to learn that I was merely lucky and got the one good bottle.

The colour of the whisky is very dull in fact the first single malt I had which looked a bit like diluted rum.
