I would recommend this to a friend!
It really isn't that hard to understand, but it appears there are a lot of negative reviews on this whisky based on individual is not liking peat smoke, so don't be thrown off.
This is not an Islay-deep smoke, but the peat is prominent. Smooth and subtle in flavour, great experiment by Glenfiddich, not for those who don't like smoke. Smoke flavour lingers long after every subtle bourbon notes. Note a great depth in flavour, but beats all Aussie peated at this price point.

By marrying peated whisky and malts matured in bourbon barrels, and then finishing in Latin rum casks, the result is an exquisite whisky with campfire smokiness and toffee sweetness. A worthy continuation of the Glenfiddich Experimental Series that's very interesting to pair with different types of food – try it with spicy sausage or ice cream, for example.
