I love dark beers … James Squire Porter started me off … now it’s discontinued 😥
Tried this SA beer, Coopers, but personally, I think Monteith’s Black Beer from Nz is the best replacement … Ccopers isn’t a bad substitute, but has no choccy taste …

Cooler weather has finally rolled in, which means it’s prime time to enjoy a proper dark beer. I’ve been wanting to try a dark ale like this for a long time, and it absolutely delivers. Honestly, this shouldn’t be a limited release — it deserves a permanent spot on the shelves, preferably in a can. I drink a lot of dark beers, and this one is genuinely pleasant, smooth, and easy to enjoy. A great winter companion.
