If you are a fan of crisp white wine. inclined to enjoy sav Blanc, and love citrus flavours, this is the wine for you. The flavour will blow you away. It is light and refreshing and very easy to drink. This wine can be enjoyed with any meal, summer or winter. I will buy again and also try the lemon Pinot gris for comparison. The initial sips you get a really strong lemon taste which I love. Thankfully it’s not too sweet but the right balance of flavours. It is really light and refreshing and very easy to drink. It is definitely a summer wine!. So light and crisp. There is a very good balance between dryness and sweetness with out an overloading of either and with out you being left feeling sick or dried out. It should be known that the citrusy zing is subtle throughout which works beautifully well and becomes more pronounced at the end but gives you a slight aftertaste which could be done without, but besides that we liked it as a whole and found it to be light and refreshing and a great winter warmer which would go perfect with sea food and shared over dinner with friends or a light summer refreshment that would be a perfect addition to an evening watching the sunset with friends. This lemony surprise rates 3..75 stars out of 5 and is another solid addition to the already strong list of wines by the Lobster Bay team from the Malborough Coast in New Zealand. I actually really enjoyed the Lobster Reef Sauvignon Blanc! It was so different and not what I was expecting. So refreshing to enjoy on a hot summers day by the pool or to wind down after a long day. I didn't know what to expect with this as I had never tried this brand before but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Sav Blanc was light and refreshing and the hint of lemon flavour was delightful. Whilst my guests enjoyed the wine and found it refreshing with a hint on citrus, I did not like the after taste as I found it was quite sour. As first I thought it was quite zesty with a hint of lemon but the longer I continued to drink it become more sour.
