Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Not because this is the greatest Shiraz ever produced, but because it tastes exactly like the kind of wine that would have it's own portrait hanging above a fireplace.

I first purchased this wine just because of it's name. Colonel was the first christian name of my dearly departed and much loved father and is a lovely reminder of him whenever I see the name. Then I discovered that I really enjoyed this shiraz no matter how long apart are the times that I tried it. It is very enjoyable to have when drinking with friends before, during or after dinner. I love the flavour and the depth and quality of this wine. I am no wine expert just like a good affordable wine.
