Loved it in a negroni, didn't particularly fancy it in a g and t. So depending on how you are going to use it be wary. Great gin though the smoke does add something different to the base one. If you're after a g and t, stick with their classic. If on the other hand you are looking to experiment with cocktails, I would highly recommend as the smokey-ness brings an added layer of complexity and definitely makes a unique negroni or gimlet.

Had this in a Pink Smoke cocktail in Cairns. Wow. Bought a bottle on way to port Douglas. Bottle way too small as empty in under a week! Trying to find some on sunny coast but not having much luck. Will definitely keep looking.

Very unique. Not a gin that you would drink more than one or two glasses in a row as it is very smoky.

Had this in a cocktail whilst staying in Cairns, it was so good we went to the distillery and bought some. Perfect unusual smokey flavour and smell. Great paired with meats especially BBQ and a wow factor drink perfect for showing off. Please ship to SA!

I bought this on the strength of Mt. Uncle Distillery Botanic Australis 'ordinary' gin - which is absolutely lovely. And I love smoked food. My first glass was mixed per usual - with tonic (Schweppes). The smoke was intense - too intense for me. BUT next time: *Half* strength. And garnished with orange (& maybe a touch of the juice). Complete it with tonic. And it's very nice. Very different. The sweetness & flavour of the orange is an excellent foil for the smoke. It's a special gin. For the price it needs to be different and special. It definitely is! And yes, I will definitely be buying another bottle.

Bought this having heard good things about Mt Uncle Distillery, and being an avid gin drinker of the higher end gins, was looking forward to the experience. Poured two with Fever Tree Light and 4 ice cubes, one with lime, and 1 with cucumber. When you can get a hint of the botanical blend in the drink, you can taste what was meant to be, but the taste of tepid liquid smoke is unavoidable from the tip of the tongue, to the cloying aftertaste coating your throat, that lives up to it's "Bushfire" moniker. Both drinks went down the drain with less than half a glass drunk between the two, and one of us went and brushed our teeth and gargled to try and defuse the building nausea. I am going to try this gin again, in a Negroni, but probably at half the usual volume, but I can only honestly suggest that this currently be used as a more fragrant replacement for liquid smoke when cooking.
