[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I are long standing rose drinkers having commenced that passion way, way back before marriage when we used to drink a fair bit of Kaiser Stuhl rose. Only people of our vintage will remember that wine. Over the years rose has certainly developed into a much better wine obviously trying to emulate the French Provence style. That development has undoubtedly contributed to rose burgeoning in popularity over the last 10 years or so. The Jacobs Creek ˜Le Petit rose is an excellent example of this new style. To me the ˜Le Petit is predominantly dry with a lovely balance having just that right touch of sweet fruit making the wine very appealing and moreish. Having tasted many rose brands over time I would have to say that the Le Petit compares favourably to the Provence wines , particularly at its price point !
