I tried this at a friends place and it was absolutely fantastic. Naturally I purchased a bottle. It tasted bloody awful. Storage was short. Product was consumed soon after opening. I was very disappointed. It was that bad that I could not drink it after the first taste.

Without a doubt one of the most underwhelming ports I have ever had!. The bottle lableing is A1 & quite compelling. The blurb is also enticing but the contents are so,so disappointing. We are told the wine is 'barrel aged' but certainly no signs of wood & one wonders if the barrels were stainless steel or plastic!! Any reasonable port in this price range should be showing some signs of wood age and there is not the slightest hint of rancio most devotees would be expecting. The wine lacks body & is in my opinion notmuch better than an artficial alcoholic cheap cordial
