This wine is delicious - blackcurrant, cherries and spices on the nose. Well balanced with lingering fruit flavours. A few of us shared this wine and it was a crowd pleaser.

This type of Tempranillo is well structured and is great for a casual home drink. A very nice example of the grape in practice.

I enjoyed the light taste of Tempranillo and will buy it again. A wine to have with meals or on its own. It is my new discovery wine

I quite like the Running with Bulls label and as Barossa has a Mediterranean type climate thought the Tempranillo would be worth a spin. The things I gelled with on the tasting notes were deep crimson, black cherry, cocoa powder, hints of tobacco leaf and fine dark chocolate tannins. I also got tar and white pepper on the nose. The tasting notes from the vineyard say 'the (2019) growing season produced grapes with great flavour concentration' and I certainly agree here. 2019 is young and my bottle did seem to benefit from being open for a few hours. Tannins are definitely pronounced, but not overpowering. Add in 14% ABV and I imagine this would benefit from a good lie down for a few years. Meantime glug it with a decent steak, for sure. I bought on special and thought it was pretty decent value for money. Stands up against the imports at the same price point, for sure. Love to try it in 2022 or so!
