An easy drinking rum with a nice taste. A little too pricey for what it is but that’s the price you pay for importing a drink not commercially popular. Overall a nice dark rum that will leave most people satisfied.

Very nice product from a distiller with history. Highly recommended especially at members price.

Being a fan of Millonaro and Zappia, I try other brands from time to time. Some are good, some are not. But I have never tried anything as disgusting as this one. No flavour, no taste. $70 a bottle? Really? It tastes as the cheapest spirit you can imagine. Goes to the sink

Having experienced some of the distillery's other rums, my expectation was of a moderately smooth rum but with 7 yrs ageing perhaps a bit more character, body and bite to it. What I experienced was a rum that was almost flat, lifeless and underwhelming. Upon opening there appears an initial methyl fuelled aroma which slowly dissipates to a stringent honeyed aroma only after time in the glass. Only some mild heat on the back of the throat when sipped neat with mild oak and vanilla flavours on the palate. On ice it is mild and very smooth with flavours much less intense and almost flat and even leaning to a slightly bitter taste if left too long. If there is any finish at all it is a very light caramel but is not lingering. I wanted a bit more punch or response from this rum so I was somewhat disappointed. This is still a smooth quality rum product but certainly not at the price point being asked.
