Taste and Value is always relative to each individual. But, this is definitely one of the best in the $40 range. It might lack the full body taste of some on the higher alcohol % whiskys such as The Balvenie, but price wise it's very good value and so smooth. I'd pick it over JW Black and Glenlivet 12.

Surprisingly pleasant for the price.. a little bit too drinkable and their description is right..butterscotch is first to hit the nose, but somehow reminds me of the cinema and that popcorn smell, and slightly synthetic. Need to let it linger in the mouth to appreciate the flavour-otherwise, a little too mild for my taste--but definitly not complaning. The good heavy glasses are a nice bonus
