This was recommended to me by a very nice Frenchman who works for Dan Murphy's, and I'm so glad I took his advice. It was under $30 and tasted like a bubbly costing twice as much. Okay, it's not Champagne, but it comes from the Chablis region right next door and uses the same grape varieties. I loved the subtle yeasty nose, but what I was really knocked out by was the red apple flavour. It's quite extraordinary. I will be coming back for more of this on a regular basis!

I have not tried a worse example of french bubbles in its price category.

...a nasty, developed, bitter flavour comes through within a couple of seconds and then dominates. I don't know if this is a bad yeast autolysis character, oxidation in the base wine (colour is slightly brassy) or just too long in the bottle, but it's really not pleasant. Tasted Dec 22 but NV wine gives no indication of how long in the bottle or which batch. To be avoided and $26 is just a joke. Part of a Dan's half dozen and finally the straw to break this camel's back.

Great value for money! Tastes refreshing and not sour like other brut brands. Highly recommend and will be buying it again!

I forgot how much I paid and I thought this was a little $10 charmer that would do the trick when I felt like a sparkling at home alone on a Saturday night. I chilled it and from the first taste, it was peaty and earthy and delicious. Clearly not $10..or an amazing find at $10!!?? So I Googled what I had bought. Ok, so I paid about $23-25. It's worth it. I will buy this again. It's not Veuve, which I prefer, but I can get three of these. And for me, it's delicious.

Although it didn't have any obnoxious traits I found this wine underwhelming and bland. It was easy to drink but after you finish a glass you can't help but wonder "Why did I bother?" Can't believe anyone awarded it 96 Points - that must have been a weighted score based mainly on the fact it is half the price of real champagne, which I'll go back to drinking in future.
