Wonderful bourbon. Definitely the best I’ve tried. Compares very favourably to some Scottish single malts. Strongly suggest anyone wavering over whether to try this to give it a go. Drink neat, and no mixers please.

Nice vanilla aroma, spicy and smoked flavours, but has an acrylic finish. I probably should add some water to open it up, but don't have anything but tapwater to hand... and at 90 proof why would you? For a 10yo spirit it doesn't have the expected finesse.

As a long time Wild Turkey faithful, I tried this & enjoyed its depth of flavour. I love how WT keeps enhancing an already winning formula

Russell’s Reserve 10 Year is a nice and enjoyable bourbon, but for the money the Eagle Rare is a better buy.

How do you make a bad bourbon when it's aged 10 years and sold at 45%? When it's Russell's Reserve. It's a distilling failure if you can't get any good flavour after that time and at that concentration. Russell's is all spirit and no taste. Even at 45%, a few drops of water drowns it completely. It's ok in an old fashioned, but plenty of cheaper bourbons can do that, and better.
