Very enjoyable, very good for the price. Above expectations. Well balanced flavour and aroma. Definitely worth trying.

This is a creamy and fruity delight. The mouth fill is incredible, giving you an immediate fruity burst. Unfortunately the finish leaves you wanting a little more... there is another hit of fruit and nutiness in the after taste. Still worth trying, very surprising flavour profile for a scotch. Triple distilled in an Irish fashion, but still holding some of those trademark scotch elements.

I want more! This is a consistently good whiskey - just hard to pronounce :-)

There seemed to be something not quite right about the taste and smell of this whisky. On the nose, I got the cloying aroma of dried raisins and overripened, slightly fermented fruit. On tasting, I initially got the bittersweet notes of orange marmalade and then the sweetness faded away, leaving just the bitterness. It wasn't unbearably bitter, but it wasn't a great note to end on. If you are looking for a double (bourbon/sherry) cask matured whisky in this price range, I would suggest buying the Aberlour 12 yo instead. The Aberlour has much more pleasant, fresh fruit notes and no unpleasant bitterness.
