Was given this as a gift, was not sure about it but after cracking it open and having a few mixes it really not a bad drop! Mixed with coke on ice, 2 thumbs up

Tastes like flavoured grappa. Nasty as a mixer. Undrinkable neat. Only suitable as drain cleaner. Avoid.

Even though this is the cheaper variant to the other Havana Club legends which are frankly harder to obtain... this is superb / not sure what the other's 1 star rating was about. Maybe less bias for your 'favourite brands' and more objective reviews next time.

I only purchased this bottle of rum because of the mountain of positive reviews. Additionally, it may be unfair to rate this bottle as I have been drinking rums aged 15 years or more recently however to be very honest I found this rum to be harsh and strong in the taste of ethanol. If I were to buy one of the cheaper bottles of rum available, at a similar price-point, I would get either Appleton Estate Signature Blend or Mount Gay Eclipse instead. For a truely magnificent Cuban rum experience, dig into your wallet or rummage through your purse and get the Santisima Trinidad 15.

Its always at the front of one of the two shelves of rum in my grog cabinet easy drinking and good straight or with a mixer.
