One of Spain's most celebrated Reds & top ranked in the World. The review from David is no doubt fair for his 2 bottles, however his low rating is based on poor cellaring, & unfortunately some DM's do not cellar their Reds as well as others. I too have on occasion had an "Off Red" from DM, but have never had a problem with this Red from the many dozens I have ordered.

I had a bottle of this years ago and it was outstanding. On the back of this I decided to buy two bottles of the 2009 for special occasions. I couldn’t be more disappointed- have well and truely passed their best - Browny colour, fortified aroma and sour taste. Extremely disappointed as paid $150 a bottle. Has this dropped to $130 per bottle Members Price because Dan Murphy’s know it’s past its best? I’m afraid I won’t be going to Dan’s for premium wine purchase anymore.
