Easy drinking wine. Not to heavy but nice taste and not watery or light

I have been a fan of this product for years, but in the ever-exploring way, had gone with so many other wines for the past two years. But yesterday again indulged, and it makes me wonder why I ever left this space. The Borsao Seleccion Grenache is not a boutique tipple - it is mass produced. But don't take this as a negative (Dom Perignon, of champagne fame, is also an absolutely mass produced product). They thus are able to produce an extremely decent blend year after year. They have the basics so thoroughly right. If you enjoy a dry, medium red, this will be perfect for you. At the price point, don't expect miracles, but do expect an always enjoyable tipple. I am firmly with the many that suggest that this is one of the best value reds on the planet.

Don't go overboard Dan. This vintage does not impress as it did nearly ten years ago. Still, a rich and older vine and wood-matured Grenache. At this price it has a lot to offer with a burnt chop or sausage. But Grenache has moved on. Now more delicate, more pinot like. Even with the big alcohol, jube-fruit and old oak. But this wine I find less appealing. Old style. A useful benchmark but not where Grenache or my palate is going.

Perfect with paella. Very reasonable price for a robust quality wine to have with food!

Concentrated flavours. Probably from a low rainfall area. A more natural product than the usual, overly controlled Australian wines. You can taste the grape skin and the colour is quite dark, unless I had a good bottle! I'll get it again to find out!

This is a very well priced wine at the cheaper end of the range. The price belies the quality. This is a very good candidate for an easy drinking table wine for tapas and casual dining. It is light and fruity yet satisfyingly buoyant on the palette. Definitely one to open as a wine to begin an evening with company.
