SURPRISINGLY GOOD DROP QUITE MELLOW WITH A NICE FINISH AND GREAT VALUE

We only buy cask wine when travelling for long periods, as it is far easier to store, and much lighter than bottles. This particular one stood out as a versatile red, meaning that it was a good all-round wine, not just to pair with food.

A well made red wine with the Shiraz well to the fore: A beautiful bouquet with a strong Shiraz nose and a delghtfully deep rich, dark red colour announce the quality of the wine to come. And the preliminaries are not wrong, the flavour is all your mind was telling you it was going to be. This is an exceptionally well made and presented wine that displays both varietal and locational charactistics. Don't be misled by the wine being packaged in an extremely practical Cask. Many bottled, far, far more expensive reds cannot complete with this little cardboard box. It is a credit to the love, expert knowledge and careful, meticulous husbandry all associated with its production. And at this price! Amazing!! Thoroughly recommend!!! Please don't take the last Cask let on the shelf, that's for me!!!

Excellent drop, wouldn't know it was a cask. Only wish it came in a 4L version as well....2L for BYO occasions & 4L for the pantry. Keep up the great work Banrock!

This is an easy to drink red that has flavour of more expensive bottle wines.

Great price for 2 Litres. A favourite of mine especially when travelling in caravan
