I know it's wrong to expect too much from a low priced Bordeaux but this is a very nondescript wine. It's not offensive but offered nothing of interest.

Medium body. OK table wine, but nothing to write home about.

Medium purple, mild berry and minerals smell. Bitterness fill up the mouth can slight taste the body: mineral, black currant, tobacco, spices. Forget about the bitterness, the best things can be found in it are the sweetness is just right enough and well length.

I have drunk a lot of Bordeaux over the years. I have had two bottles of Chantemerle and returned both. The wine has been poorly stored and stewed (one cork showed signs of seepage, while the other bottle displayed cork taint). It is scarcely recognisable as being from Bordeaux. Perhaps I have been unlucky, perhaps it was just the delivery to my store, but be ready to be disappointed.

Can smell berries, black currant, strong tannin and better with decant at least 15 mins to soft it.

I enjoyed this bottle of wine great it had great taste. Very enjoyable with red beef.
