A really good chardy for those who know Kumeu River as a ‘cult’ chardy and for those who just love a great chardy. Light straw color, medium+ body and acid that’s enough to make you salivate yet beautiful texture, mouthfeel. Pronounced nose of yeasty-ness, some lemon zest, abit of flint, stone fruits, tropical fruits like banana, pineapples on the palate, and good length. Lovely! Would love to have this again after a few more years of bottle age. One caveat I have is that the step up in price (from the Village level, which is smashing value) to $50+ is a wee bit much.

Another reviewer here says this doesn't taste like Burgundy - which it's not. It's better, for the price. That's the point.
