I was surprised when I cracked open the can and I poured this clear liquid into my glass, I was expecting it to be coloured! Taking a sip it is nice and refreshing, reminds me of a seltzer, with its flavour but not too strong. I was hoping for it to be a little stronger on the mango flavour although it does pack a punch in alcohol content. I am cooking hotpot tonight, with accompanying by Monsutā Mango Chuhai, that hits the spot. Hot food and cold drink, so refreshing so good. Highly recommend. I think I am going to buy other flavours too, it's that good.

I tried the Monsutā Mango Chuhai the other day and was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t sure what to expect, as mango drinks can be sometimes way too sugary or fake-tasting, but this one strikes a good balance. The mango flavor is definitely there, but it’s more mellow than overpowering. It’s got that refreshing citrusy finish you’d want from a chuhai, and the alcohol is quite smooth. It's easy to drink and works well if you’re after something light and fruity without feeling like you’re sipping on a soft drink. Solid pick for slow evenings or hanging out in the sun. I'm a big fan of Japanese beers and spirits and this also hit the mark! Can taste the mango flavour and like that it's not sickly sweet. And wow 7.3% and doesn't taste overwhelmingly strong, and great that a 4 pack will do me for the noon/night. I've tried all the brands out there of this type of drink and this is by far my favourite. The flavouring is nice, doesn't have the weird artificial profile, it's zero added sugar, and I like that it's strong i alcohol. We had this while making our woodfired pizza on a Sunday afternoon and it was just the perfect drink!

I was eager to try this no sugar alcoholic mango soda. With a generous 2 standard drinks per can I thought it could really be something that should be turning up at mid day shenanigans around Australia on the regular. The can is something to behold and my girlfriend remarked how this might be the one as she used the helpful dip at the top of the can to pry her serve open with her usually disabling long finger nails. Upon my first sip I was surprised with the flavour that really did resemble mango juice. However I was left wanting as there was an awkward transition into soda with no real lingering presence of anything desirable.
