Having quite enjoyed their Over the Shoulder chardonnay I decided to spend more on this, but got less. I love chardonnay and was keen to go through the Oakridge range. But this was a disappointing wine, and I'll take some convincing before I spend more money on Oakridge..

I was extremely disappointed with the 22 vintage of this Chardonnay. The fruit was overripe, rotten almost. The oak was poorly integrated enough to make me wonder if they have gone to the level of using wood chips instead of oak barrels. It was one of the worst mid-level Chardonnays that I have come across from many different regions in the past few years. I would have expected the price tag to be sub $10, but this was a $30 bottle.
