Oro may be barrel-aged but she's young at heart. Fresh, light and lively, this easy sipper is bursting with candied fruits, plum and toasted coconut on the nose. On the palate enjoy a medium warmth with toffee and dark chocolate jostling against fresh green papaya and peppercorns. A dry, medium finish makes Oro ideal for a dark and stormy or a warming nightcap on a cool evening. This first batch strikes a beautiful balance between a vibrant unaged spirit and one refined through time. Matured in small oak barrels for six months to a year in subtropical Cabarita Beach, Oro shines a light on small-batch pot distillation and the sustainable, locally-sourced molasses from which it is handcrafted. Batch 1 is a single cask release that has matured in a 115-litre ex-bourbon American Oak barrique, with new American Oak heads and a medium char.
