I found letting this wine sit 30-60 minutes in the glass made it even better. It was great when paired with dark chocolate. I brought 3 different Shiraz around the same price and this was by far the best.

Coming from a long-respected lineage, the 2022 vintage is disappointing. If two stars is a bit harsh, 2.5 wouldn't be. On the light side of medium bodied - not a problem per se. Medium-bodied elegance & restraint have made this wine a pleasant, at the least, alternative over decades to the big, plummy, showy shiraz that dominates Australian red production. But this one's too shallow on fruit intensity and down on complexity and the line's characteristic pepper & earthy notes. Remains to be seen how it develops in bottle. But, in youth, distinctly inferior to the '21. Even with wines generally noted for consistency, you can never presume the next bottle will match the last - without checking the date.
