I picked this one up a few days ago as I'd not seen or tried it before. Disappointing would be an understatement. The description on the back of the bottle suggests it has notes of berries, plums, spice and vanilla with soft velvety tannins. Nothing could be further from the truth. Whilst the nose suggested promise it failed miserably on the taste buds with a sharp almost astringent finish with not much if any of the promised fruit, spice or vanilla. The label declares it as a red blend, but blended with what? Even after letting it breathe for almost an hour it didn't improve on the palate. :( Now for perspective, I'm no wine snob. Far from it, and I've drank some pretty mediocre reds in my time, but this was just awful. Maybe that skull logo on the bottle's neck might have been a clue to stay away?

A delicious wine. Goes very well with Steak. A pleasure to drink. Very smooth.
