I purchased several bottles of the 2023 Sporran. Highly disappointing. Very acidic, thin, and lacks character or depth. I have tried it with food, decantered, with friends, and over multiple days - and disappointing on each occasion.
If you research Sporran, it is not really available through Torbreck directly. Seems to be made exclusively for retail, and appears to be a way of moving on grapes not fit for the 'normal' Torbreck range.
This experience has soured by view of Torbreck as a brand.

This was recommended by someone in Dan Murphy and it did not disappoint. 2024 vintage is well worth the price.

Dark red in colour. This wine has a complex nose of dark fruits, blueberry, herbs, spice & pepper. The palate is diverse and fine with dark plum & black fruits all to the fore in this rich & succulent wine that will age well into the future.
