Bourgogne Gamay became a new regional appellation from the 2011 vintage. The grapes used are exclusively from the Beaujolais Crus (predominantly granitic soils). The grapes are manually harvested. Light and fruity, Gamay is best enjoyed young. Its aromas are reminiscent of violets and red fruits, cherry kirsch and white pepper spice. Very supple in the mouth, it is a round, well-balanced, with a great freshness. Drink over the next 2 to 3 years.
