Great for cooking, especially sweet chili tomato sauce

They all loved it - and they were all well over the 65 years mark. I did not like it much but will use what is less for my chinese cookery.

Not my favourite tipple but have been known to have a glass or two topped up with Soda Water while using it in a Chinese recipe when I don’t have Chinese cooking wine. Not bad. Dry version better for cooking, but doesn’t seem to be available now?

lacked body compared to the Mcwilliams I have purchased previously.

Used to smooth and sweet in the flagon now in the cask it tastes acidic and musty like off white wine also lower in alcohol so obviously the way it is produced has changed...for the worse. Thanks for ruining my nightly tipple for the past 20 years wont buy this again.

Golden Oak Medium Apera 2L. Found now in 2L CASK in several of the DM stores. Previously av. in 2L BOTTLES and limited stores and for a time , out of stock. This item is still listed as being in bottles though it has a picture of a cask. I'm off to Miami - Kelly Ave. and Gold Coast Highway - North Burleigh - (which is listed on the DM site as being in Mermaid Beach), to get a couple. The 'buy six' discount is only $0.50 les per bottle - hardly any point in having this many casks stored. Ted
