When mixed with tonic it has an initial herbal taste and follows up with a sherberty finish. It was unexpected and quite pleasant. Will definitely buy again.

I had high expectation for this gin given the awards and the description. Sounded very interesting and it is but in a very disappointing way. I mixed in a Negroni with a vermouth I really like and Campari and all I could get from the aroma was scotch! The taste matched because it tasted like weak scotch where the sweet vermouth and Campari just slightly confused and weakened the scotch taste. If you want a gin that seems more like scotch this might be good for you on ice. If you want to make any gin based cocktail any other gin will work better. As I said I had a high expectation which no doubt influenced my impression but if anybody reads this who does not like gin and drinks scotch this could become your favourite gin. For anyone who likes gin give this one a miss. In case you don't notice this is a 500 ml bottle, not a full bottle so not a cheap purchase.
