Definitely delicious wine to go with food or cheese and great price

As a Merlot drinker, this was one of the worst I've had to date. I could have had a better drink from a $4 Merlot. Brown Brothers should have never released it like this. It bothers me to think this could be the first Merlot someone tries. It is nothing like what a Merlot is about.. It had an acidic, tingling bite on the tongue and lacked just about everything (flavour, fruit, body etc..). At this price point and this vintage, just about every other Merlot is better so look elsewhere. I agree with the earlier reviewers on this one.

We tried this wine out as part of our weekly wine session to end off the week with.We were disappointed, to say the least. The nose shows fumes instead of fruit and the taste was disappointing - a thin muddy taste with little fruit to lift it. Once swallowed, it left a burnt, almost earthy taste in the mouth which lingered for some time. After a couple of sips, the taste did not improve, and we found this wine to be quite unsatisfactory. Sorry Brown Bros - didn't go much on this one. Score 3 out of 10 overall. There is much better tasting Merlot out there. The search continues . . . . .
