This wine is so enjoyable and to find one in a cask is a treasure.

It is not the best tasting wine I have had but I thought it wasn’t too bad actually, I would buy this brand again! Great price!

Lacks Depth even for cask wine has no real flavour it finishes very short and it has a very harsh alcohol burn at the end didn’t enjoy it out of the red casks from De bortoli the Premium Reserve Merlot is the best in my opinion as it doesn’t have a harsh finish that the Cab and Shiraz has it is smoother and the general flavour is better than both the Cab and Shiraz. Overall this wine is a waste of time.

A nice affordable wine for every day of the year. It is quite mellow and seems to adapt itself to most foods.

Suprisingly good wine. No one is expecting complex vintage derived flavours BUT, balanced fruit and acid with none of the dreadful preservative flavours so overpowering from casks of yesteryear. Not much chocolate on the nose but nice, subtle tannins at the end palate. Value - unbeatable. If this were from a bottle, easily comfortable paying $15 and be delighted at an $8-10 special.

Surprised at the reviews, I found it to be exactly as described. I really enjoy the plum and raspberry flavour and a nice dry finish. Much nicer than some of the $10-$15 bottles I have tried. For the price, excellent value.
