Well the 2 pack sold me & I ordered away. I love good quality small batch gins & it's even better when they're from SA. The Blood Orange gin is sensational. I love a citrus-dominant gin and this one ticks all the boxes. The Original Gin is a good, solid small batch gin. Not my favourite ever but it's certainly not a bad drop. I'll be using the Original Gin to make French 75's and enjoying the Blood Orange Gin with tonic and orange zest.

First off, let me qualify this all by saying I am not a big drinker, however if I want to enjoy a drink I'll pay whatever it takes. This 36S Gin pack does not diappoint. The "Blood Orange" version was intreguing by its description, but since Dan Murphys was offering a member discount with the pack, I figured I would give it a try. Both I have tried with tonic and a lemon rind at a 1 to 2 gin to tonic ratio. First and foremost it is easy to tell this is a hand crafted, non mass produced gin by the absolute smoothness and finish of each sip. Both are wonderful with a smooth and complex burst of flavors to the palate. Just the scent of the Blood Orange gin had me thinking of summer on my deck enjoying a cool breeze. But what was suprising was the quality of the 36 Short Gin. This can stand completely on its own surpassing many premium gin offerings. I would absolutely purchase this gin by itself, however having the 2-pak as an option, it was well worth the premium price to taste the distinct differences. If you're used to Tanqueray and you like it, stick with it. If you're ready to move onto something more sophisticated and smooth, either gin options are worth the premium paid.

After trying to buy the 36 Short Gin at my local Dan Murphy's I was told it was only available on Dan Murphy's connections website, so there it was that I found this double gem pack! As a member it was fantastic value for money! The blood orange I teamed with a Mediterranean tonic and a slice of orange, the original the same but with both a slice of lemon and a slice of lime. Smooth and refreshing! The strength of the alcohol gives it a nice kick without making either one over bearing and can definitely taste the unique flavour of the blood orange! Hard to pick which one I would prefer as they both have there merits! Looking forward to see what this locally owned and produced company has in store for the future!
