This is far and away the best beer Boag's makes (followed by Wizard Smith's) and therefore, it's a complete tragedy that it's not available on the mainland!! I used to order a case every now and then through Dan's and then all of a sudden, Dan's stopped shipping to NSW. I've contacted Dan's and they claim it's Boags that don't want to ship it over. Sad times... If Boags knew what's good for them they would ship it to the mainland as it blows the likes of VB, Tooheys, Carlton etc. out of the water. Hopefully my wish comes true one day.

A few years back one of the larger bottlo chains (not Dans) in Tasmania stopped stocking this (not sure if this has changed). It was actually hard to buy. Recently it has has a real resurgence. This is a great beer and has been my go to beer for the last few years. A lot of my friends friends and family are converted as well. An absolute must in a cold glass out of the fridge/freezer and is superb on tap if you can find it. Disappointingly, it has become dearer than most of the boutique/imported beers going around and I am Tasmanian!

In Tassie recently. XXX as a draught beer was superb. So I bought a couple of cartons to bring back to Vic. Must admit I think I preferred the draught style over the packaged beer but it is still a good drop compared to the CUB packaged beer. Such a pity Dan does not stock the XXX on the mainland.

As our son can not buy this where he lives in Broome Heidi coming home for a visit so we purchased it so he can enjoy while home

Great beer wish boags would export it to the main land so you could buy it at the local. So happy Dan's can bring it over to Melbourne
