It's very sweet with a nasty artificial chemical aftertaste. It's so bad I think I will end up just throwing it away.

Tastes like a poor quality kids lolly with added chemicals. Vok brand and tastes like the cheap off brand soft drinks your parents used to buy at xmas. No fruit flavour whatsoever, very disappointing and a waste.

The deep colour in this hides a weak raspberry flavour, with little in the way of staying power or complexity like true grenadines. Compared to mocktails I used to get at the RSL I am having to add double the amount of syrup to get something slightly similar, and the extra syrup means they are overly sweet. In addition there is definitely no pomengranate in this, it's straight raspberry syrup with no tartness.

I wondered why my cocktails were lack lustre after I had added this to my growing Covid era bar. After reading up on grenadine and checking the label I realised it contains precious little fruit syrup. It has notes of cough syrup and has a lot of artificial ingredients. The trick is to find one with some fruit syrups as ingredients, preferably pomegranate. After sourcing A different grenadine (Monin) and making a Pink Lady with each, I threw the Cawseys out.

I bought this for my mother as a suprise as it was her favourite childhood drink, she remembers it just the same back in 1970!

A nice sweet mixer, adds a little something to many drinks. Can be added to different sodas for an elegant berry-like touch. This version is pretty good value, and maybe just a little strong.
