I have been buying the Brown Brothers Dry Red Cask for at least the last 5 years, and always thought it was the best of the cask wines. But over the last 2 years or thereabouts I have noticed a steady decline in the quality. This time, I found the wine undrinkable, which was both a shock and a huge disappointment. Come on Brown Brothers, it’s time to clean up your act.

For the price, impossible to beat. It’s actually a really good drinkable wine.

Wow best tasting red from a cask. Will be buying this regulary as its suitable to drink every night with a meal and you then can save opening a bottle.

Whilst it is the best of the casks it is too expensive for what it is. At $62/cask it is about $10 too much. If the price were $50 then it would be a good buy but as it is it's a nice buy but not for the budget conscious!

Just the ticket for the lockdown. Fewer trips to the shop. Excellent for a glass or two with dinner.

If you are after an acceptable dry red with your 'every-day' dinner this is a fine option. Almost certainly the best cask red on the market, and at around $4.50 per 750ml it puts most (all?) cheap bottles of red well into the shade. Well done Brown Bros!!
